Renodia

Renodia is a single mother of a three-year-old and aspiring college student who has used the funds in part to pay off debts and increase her financial literacy. She says the Shreveport Guaranteed Income program has assisted her with providing assistance to her daughter, catching up on her mortgage payments, and providing a path for her to pursue a college degree.

"When, I first heard of this program an just the thoughts of how it will impact our lives it gave a sense of joy, stability, courage, and feeling free of "KNOWING" that it will be there for my 3 year old and I. Living as a single parent it has been a tremendous help to help free up my path by paying bills off to get closer to my goals of raising my credit to a 700. It has helped me get through the struggles of price increases on everything and catching up with my mortgage. Showing up for my family and friends when I had to always tell them that it does not fit in my budget. I am now able to catch up on some well needed self-help for myself now that some of the burden has been lifted off my shoulders mentally. I will have the courage to go back to school and receive my bachelors degree. Thanks to all that is apart, we appreciate you!!"
