This Richmond Resilience Initiative (RRI) participant is a parent in a household of three. He is a math teacher with a degree in accounting and enjoys mentoring at-risk children. He explained that participating in the RRI pilot is bittersweet because while he appreciates the opportunity, he feels it should be available to all individuals in need. He says that the program has stabilized his family’s finances, allowing him to pay down bills, make repairs and put food on the table. “This program has allowed me and my family to worry less about their financial burdens. Please continue this work and do all you can to make guaranteed income a reality for all the residents you serve.”
